How to Make a Solar Water Heater

An solar water heater was in when our plans when we originally built the house. The information that I could find

at the time was costly and not possible.

Some very innovative people since then have come up with some ideas that should work with our home and budget.

The budget that we are shooting for is about $350.00. The major expense for this project is the 1" drainage hose. We need at least 300 ft. I used this in my pond in Phoenix and it did not kill my fish so....

They do not sell the hose were we are in that length so I got online to get it. Unfortunately the hose is about $159.00 but shipping is $75.00 even though it stated "free shipping" on all orders over $149.00. I got out of the site and I need to call them to confirm the "free shipping".

The basic concept of this is a large black hose curled into a spiral with one end connected to the cold water and the other end connected to the hot water of a hot water tank. I am so excited about this. Anyway that we can be less dependent on fuels makes me a happy camper.

Please check back in the future for the finished work.
