OFFGRID ATV RIDING WITH OUR DOGS

Waiting at gate We go offgrid atv riding after our morning coffee. We get dressed,
put on our gun belts and go atv riding. Off grid living is wonderful.
Our dogs start barking as we back
up the quads and head for the gate.

We open the gate and let the dogs out to go for their morning run.

George with ball George our Mastiff always has a ball that he takes with him. I try to get him to leave it in the yard because he usually gets tired of carrying it in his mouth and leaves it somewhere down the dirt road to be retrieved
on our way back.

Mya ahead Mya our Rhodesian Ridgeback, is always ahead when we go atv riding. She will see a jack rabbit or a quail and take off chasing it. She returns
a couple of minutes later very pleased with herself. She continues sauntering down the road. George gives a half hearted chase with Mya but he loses interest or energy long before her.

Pugs behind Our three pugs, Chase, Uno and Bugsy trail behind.

Pugs on quad We stop several times for rest and water. More times than not the pugs only run/walk half of the way.

I have three milk crates attached to the luggage racks on my quad, two in the back and one in the front. I put dog beds in each.

I keep the water in the satchel on the front grill. When Chase, Uno and Bugsy get tired, I put them in the crates for the ride home. They love atv riding.

George and Mya get a chance to run/walk at their own pace. When we get to the driveway, I let the pugs out so that they can walk the rest of the way home. After water and rest, I feed the dogs. Our dogs sleep most of the rest of the day until we go for our evening walk/run. The rest of the day off grid is spent working on the house.
