THINGS TO DO VISIT OFFGRID ADOBE RUINS
The offgrid adobe ruins near our home seemed like a fun thing to visit.
We wanted to take advantage of the new and exciting places around us.
It was very quiet and very still the
morning we visited here. We talked
quietly about the people that may have lived here
at one time. How incredibly hard their life must have been.
We could not get too close to the offgrid adoberuins because it was filled withDiamondbacks. The ruins are over 100years old. The walls were about 18 inches thick. I have watched the critters here in thedesert and we are the only ones that needso much to survive. Taking care not to disturb anything, we movedon to our next exciting location the old windmill and farm.

It was amazing that these people found water in the desert and drilled a well that I have been told is 200 ft deep. | The windmill used to have a huge raven's nest at the very top, but it had fallen. Given its size the weight probably pulled it down. There is a smaller nest about midway down on the windmill. | Then we went over to the farm house. Someone had remodeled part of the house, although it appeared to be about 50 years ago. We could still see the original wall boards that were about 12 inches wide. |
